The Wine Circle

The Club has an active Wine Circle which regularly organises wine tastings and dinners that are well-attended by Members and their guests. For a fee of S$5.00 per Member per month, Members can join the Wine Circle and enjoy the many wine events at preferential rates.

We have just received notice a few days ago that Mr. Murray McHenry will be in Singapore the week of 20 Feb 2012, and have rushed to put together this tasting of 6 of his wines, even though we have another event that week. Members may remember the previous tastings of McHenry wines with Murray on 8 June 2007 and 15 Nov 2008, and will agree that another tasting is long overdue, this time with more recent vintages. There will be direct sales of the wines tasted to members at special prices.

The wines for tasting are:

White:

• 2011 Semillon Sauvignon Blanc

• 2008 Three Amigos  White (Marsanne/Rousanne/Chardonnay)

• 2010 Rocky Road Chardonnay

   

Red:

• 2009 Cabernet Merlot

• 2010 Rocky Road Zinfandel

• 2009 Rolling Stone Red Blend

   

When: Wednesday, 22 February,7pm to 9pm
Where: Raffles Room
Price: $20, inclusive of GST (Wine Circle Member), $30, inclusive of GST(Non-Wine Circle Member) & $40, inclusive of GST (Guest).
Dress Code: Club Standard.

By popular demand, the Wine Cirlce is organising this Wine Fair for Members and their guests to taste and purchase wines direct from wine suppliers to the Club. A buffet spread with salads, soup, main courses and desserts will be provided. 

When: Friday, 24 February, 6.30pm to 8.30pm
Where: Tangles
Price: $10, inclusive of GST (Wine Circle Member), $20, inclusive of GST(Non-Wine Circle Member) & $30, inclusive of GST (Guest).
Dress Code: Club Standard.
