Kids Art Class with Mr Yap Sin Guan

Drawing is the fundamental skill of the visual arts that can be learned by all children. For over 28 years, Mr Yap Sin Guan has been teaching Chinese Brush Painting and Children Imagination Painting at The Tanglin Club. Join us for a fun, engaging and affordable experience with a space to express yourselves and explore art-making through drawing, painting, as well as opportunities to participate in art exhibitions. An additional time slot has been included to accommodate more participants.

 

Fridays: 3.00pm to 4.00pm

Saturdays: 9.00am to 10.00am or 1.00pm to 2.00pm

Sundays: 9.30am to 10.30am

 

Theatrette

Fee: $75 per participant, per month

August & September Activities

Tagliatelle Nest Cooking Class

 

In this class, the kids will learn the art of pasta making from scratch and at the same time have fun using the freshly made pasta to build ‘bird’s nests’ for a unique, healthy and yummy snack!

 

This cooking class will be paired with fun activities for the kids to learn more about the ingredients used during the class, including storytelling and arts and crafts.

Mini Mooncake Making Workshop

 

Learn how to make mooncakes from scratch with natural food colourings (e.g. red from beetroot, orange from carrots and blue from blue pea flowers*). The kids will have fun mixing the natural colours into dough and shaping them using a mooncake mould with cartoon characters such as Hello Kitty and Mickey Mouse.

 

This workshop also features engaging activities for the kids to learn more about the ingredients in mooncakes, plus storytelling on Mid-Autumn Festival.

 

*Colours used on that day would depend on the availability of ingredients.
